The Church of S. Pietro dates back to 754 AD and is mentioned in several medieval documents. It was made a parish in 1514. The church also had a baptismal font. The interior is embellished with a font that is likely to date back to the sixteenth century, as it is the remarkable wooden type side altar, gilded and polychromed, above which there is a painting on canvas depicting S. Antonio Abate, that was recently restored. In recent years there has been several and proper restoration work in the church, including the frontal and senior of the altar.
There are two more churches in Lupinaia. Inside the village there is the so-called "New church" dating back to the seventeenth century; mentioned in the Pastoral Visit of 1679 as "Oratorio della Compagnia del SS. Rosario” it was later expanded and dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Finally in the open countryside, there is the small Oratory of the Madonna delle Grazie, now unfortunately in a worrying state of neglect.
